Fall Fun Itinerary
Fall Foliage in Illinois Amish Country
Enjoy the fall color of Arthur and East Central Illinois, spend a day in Amish country taking in the
sites, smells, and sense of days gone by, through our more relaxing way of
life. While this part of the country is not know for "leaf-peeping"
tours, fall brings on its own special feeling to Illinois
Amish Country. Yes,
we have leaves, and a whole lot more. Hand shocked corn fields,
Apples and fresh cider shops, crowded pumpkin patches, fall gift shops, smoky chimneys, special fall festivals almost every weekend... Plenty to make a visit or tour worth your while.
Arrive in Arthur at or shop to stretch and refresh, and to meet your tour guide. Head out to an Amish farm for a tour of the farm and the Amish home, and enjoy a home cooked meal right in the Amish kitchen.
After
lunch continue your interpretive tour of the Amish countryside. Stop at the "Great Pumpkin Patch", to enjoy the
rich colors of fall foliage and the fall harvest. And then we will go back into Arthur to enjoy
shopping in the local shops, for quilts, home furnishings, fall decor, and for a
special tasty
treat, before heading home or on to your overnight accommodations.
This preplanned itinerary can be extended with overnight accommodations and additional activities in and around Amish Country.
Actual fees depend on group size. The price for a group of forty guests, with comps for the driver and leader would be $22 each for the 40 guests.
