This month can be hectic... you deserve to take some time to enjoy the season. Plan a visit to Illinois Amish Country and enjoy an Old Fashioned Holiday Experience. Good food, laid back shopping for truly unique gifts, and a holiday light show like no other.

Arrive in Arthur before noon in time for a traditional Amish hearty lunch/holiday meal with all the trimmings served in an Amish home. Your Amish host will help you to pass around plates brimming with fried chicken and ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade noodles, salads, vegetables, and of course... her delicious homemade pie!

After dinner, stroll around the farm (weather permitting) and let all that food settle, learn about the animals, and visit with your Amish host and get a real feel for the country life.

Wander the Amish countryside around Arthur in the afternoon and visit some Amish operated country shops to find some truly unique gift items. Then wind up in Downtown Arthur for some more afternoon shopping for fine clothing, collectibles, antiques and crafts, home decor, Amish made oak gifts items and furniture, cloth and patterns for your holiday craft projects, or baked goods for your holiday table.

Leave room in the trunk because your not through yet!

The holiday lights come on all over Arthur at dusk and you can enjoy all of them before supper. There are lights all over downtown, more in Eberhardt Park and we'll give you a map of the best lit homes  around town.

Then take a break for supper. Enjoy a buffet at Yoder's Restaurant or head out to the Rockome Restaurant just outside of Arthur for their special holiday buffet. Either way good food awaits

After supper, enjoy over one million holiday lights at Rockome's Country Christmas Light Show. Be dazzled as you stroll through hundreds of displays including some special synchronized light displays that will leave you breathless. Among all the lights you'll find Santa's Workshop, Rockome's Winterland Express Train Ride, all of the Rockome shops to visit, bonfires to warm-up at, and horse drawn sleigh or carriage rides. When the park closes at 9pm you'll be ready to haul your treasures home.

One full day, lots to see and do, plenty of great food, and a holiday light show that you'll want to bring your friends back to as soon as you can!

This special holiday package is available thru ACM Tours only by reservation for groups of 6 or more now thru December 30. (Not available on Mondays or Dec 24-25) Package cost is $49 per adult, $45 seniors 65+, and $31 children 4-12yrs.
