About ACM Tours

ACM Tours operates out of downtown Arthur, Illinois. We have extensive knowledge of the Arthur Amish area as we have lived here all of our lives and been in business in downtown Arthur for over 20 years. Our other retail storefronts include  a custom Amish crafted furniture store called The WoodLoft, through which we maintain close relationships with many, many Amish businesses in the Arthur Amish community. We know the Arthur area and the Arthur Amish better than anyone!

Our Services

• ACM Tours will assist you with trip planning, activity and ticket booking, and assist with locating accommodations for you and your group. From individual or family groups to multiple motor coach groups, we can handle all your needs.
• ACM Tours will arrange for local guides to take you and your group on an informative tour of the Amish area, on which you will see the Amish countryside, visit some of the local shops, learn the history of the Arthur Amish and their beliefs.
• ACM Tours offers a self guiding audio tour which provides a similar experience that you may take at your own pace. It is available on cassette tape, CD or on MP3 players. We offer a special package that is perfect for bicycle tours with multiple headsets and a sound track scaled down to the slow pace of cycle travel.
•  ACM Tours can arrange for your group to have a meal served in an Amish kitchen right on their farm. After the meal your hosts show you around their farm and buggy rides can be arranged.
• AMC Tours can set up Lincoln Tours that include his parents farm with interactive hosts, Lincoln's New Salem Village where he spent if early pre-law years, the many Lincoln home and Law Office sites and the new Lincoln Presidential Museum in nearby Springfield along with Lincolns final resting place and monument.

Arthur and the Illinois Amish

Arthur is the only town that actually is in Illinois Amish Country and acts as the main trading center for most of the Amish families in the Central Illinois Amish community. Other neighboring villages bill themselves as "gateways" or have interstate exits that feed into the Amish area but are actually located in some cases many miles from the nearest Amish family. If you want to experience the true Illinois Amish Area, you must visit Arthur.
